Now that you have invested big money into an iPhone what can you do if you run into problems? Well you can go to Apple's website where they have all the information on features and how you can fix problems. But before you do that you may want to just check this quick list of the most common issues other iPhone users are experiencing.
First thing to check if your iPhone is "frozen" or not working is the charge. Make sure you can charging it with a high-powered USB port as a low powered one will not work. If you are using your PC to charge your iPhone, be sure that the port you are using is one of the high powered USB ports. If you are using a USB hub, check the power, some are low powered. Just so you know your keyboard USB port is low powered so you do not want to use that one.
You may not realize this but sometimes content that is out of sync or not properly synced can also cause problems on your iPhone. This unfortunately can not usually be remedied by a restart. You will need to connect your iPhone to your computer and go to the iTunes site. Here you can change your sync options for which ever category like contacts, podcasts, calendars, videos, and MP3s that is causing you problems. You may need to trash any files which have problems.
Sometimes, specially if you are having ongoing issues with your phone, you may want to do a reset. To reset you will need to press and hold the wake/sleep button and the home button both at the same time until the Apple Logo appears.
If none of the above tricks do it and you are continuing to have problems it may be time for the major reset. This option is not the one you want to resort to if you absolutely do not have to as it will reset all settings. This is an actual reset of your entire phone back to the beginning. This means everything you have saved and customized will be gone. Try to backup all your content, files and folders before you attempt this. The way to do this phone reset is by going to settings and then select general and reset. Then you will pick the option to erase all contents and settings. Remember this is erasing all saved photos, music, videos, messages and any loaded applications. So make sure you have saved all of this before completing this action.
This quick list should help but as with any major problem be sure to do further research if your problems are bigger. Go to apple.com and ask for help. Their site is very comprehensive and their service is great.
